T'is Magic, My Friend

In the midst of rummaging through the craft room, I discovered a tackle box full of pottery pieces that my mom made some years ago. When I say "pottery pieces," I actually mean "fabulous pieces of magical art that could easily be transformed into magnificent lapel pins."

They make me so happy.

I'm not going to lie, I may have let out a strange, scream-like noise when I came across these little guys.

  3. Yes, your mom does fabulous work. Taking a piece of it with you will be a good way to have part of her near you. (I do have a question. I don't really understand what Rotary is, or how they are involved.)
Also, the photos add such a nice touch.

  4. Rotary is the youth exchange organization I'm involved in that is allowing me to spend this coming year abroad. Each Rotary district consists of a group of people who volunteer their time to help send students like myself to other countries.
Along with providing high schoolers with the opportunity to learn a new culture and language, they also dedicate time to involving themselves in humanitarian activities and, essentially, making peace with various aspects of the world.

  6. Thanks, Cayenne. I knew Rotary does the second part you mentioned (hooray for them!), but didn't know they are the ones that do the exchange part.
